Academic Success and Ongoing Placement
At The British International School of New York we are proud of our students’ success in gaining places at the high schools of their choosing. We also recognize that deciding upon the next school for your child can be a stressful decision and that the school can play a fundamental role in aiding the decision making process from identification of schools through to exam preparation, interview technique, and acceptance.
We work closely with each family to identify the most appropriate opportunities for the individual child for their next school. Once agreed, the school works closely to help support and prepare the students as they go through the interview and examination process at their preferred schools. Our aim is to advise and guide you through these choices with encouragement and information, using the experience and knowledge of our team in New York in addition to our links both in England and internationally.
This consolidated approach ensures your child is placed in the strongest possible position regardless of whether they are transitioning locally in the New York area, moving to an independent boarding school in the UK, or moving to another international school overseas.
Testimony to our approach is our placement record to date, which includes acceptances at a number of leading schools in New York City, the UK and overseas to countries as far as Madrid, Copenhagen and Hong Kong. A selection of these are listed below.
