Sebastian Noelle, originally from Germany, is an active member of New York’s multi‐faceted creative music scene, performing at venues such as 55 Bar, Cornelia Street Café, The Blue Note, Jazz Gallery, Iridium, Merkin Hall, Tea Lounge, The Knitting Factory and Louis 649. He recently released a recording of his compositions on the European label FreshSound/NewTalent. Currently he is exploring new ways in improvisation using microtones, ragas and rhythms from the Middle East. He performed at the Newport Jazz Festival, the North Sea Jazz Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and has toured in Holland, Germany, Japan and Slovakia.

Mr. Noelle holds degrees from the Musikhochschule Mannheim, Germany and the New England Conservatory. He has taught at the New England and Brooklyn Conservatories.
