Masha Lankovsky

Violin Instructor

Masha Lankovsky Lankovsky, Dr. M.Masha Lankovsky is a New York based violinist active as both a performer and teacher.  Masha is a member of the contemporary music group neoLIT (www.neolitmusic.com) and ECCE (www.eccensemble.com).  Masha has appeared in international festivals including Schleswig Holstein, Germany, Britten Pears festival, England and the American Conservatoire in Fontainebleau, France.  She has performed as a soloist with the Brooklyn Philharmonic and the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra.  Recent engagements have included residencies at the Banff Centre in Canada and collaborations with the pianist Byron Schenkman. Masha enjoys close collaborations with contemporary composers and is interested in reviving little-known treasures from the past.  Upcoming projects include exploration of the violin and piano works of Nikolai Roslavets.

Strongly committed to music education, Masha is a sought after teacher. She is presently on the faculty of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music where she also serves as Director of the Classical Division.
