Jessica Dolan
Teaching Assistant
Jessica Dolan is a graduate of the Drama Conservatory at Purchase College, NY. She began her teaching career in Early Childhood Education at the Riverdale Montessori School. After spending a year doing a drama internship at a Theatre Arts Production Company school in the Bronx, she was offered a full time position to teach drama, specifically Shakespeare, to students in grades 6-12. As the school was moving toward graduating their first 12th grade, Jessica was asked to be the college counselor for both the 11th graders and seniors. She was able to successfully negotiate college acceptances for all graduating students.
Jessica has volunteered her time with Habitat for Humanity and currently with the Fred Dolan Art Academy under the direction of renowned artist and writer of children’s’ books, Neil Waldman. Jessica believes that all children can succeed given the proper opportunities and support. Her experience working with the Children’s Aid Society has reinforced her belief in humanity, and the need to step up the drive to keep a connection with our families throughout the world.
Jessica’s passions include dance, theatre, photography and horseback riding… and of course, early childhood and adolescent development. She is certified in Pyschodrama and has functioned as a facilitator in schools for 4 years.
