A letter from Harry (BIS-NY Student 2006-2010)
October 5, 2011

Harry reading in the BIS-NY School library during 2006
On my very first day of school I was quite nervous like anyone but the strangest thing that had happened to me was after the first day of school I knew all the teachers and the way around school although my parents where quite a long way away I was seeing them as much as any other student.
When we first wake up on, say a Wednesday, we wake up at around 7:30. The first thing we have to do is, of course, get changed and brush our teeth. We then walk down to the big lunch room for breakfast I usually have cereal and a yoghurt. Afterwards, me and my friends will go out to play some football or go eat some of our grub (sweets). After we have form time for half an hour which is pretty much talking about what’s been happening which can be a lot of fun. Then we have three lessons (different every day). We then have another break for ten minutes then another two lessons. As hungry as ever, we have lunch which surprisingly is quite delicious. After lunch we have rest which is where we digest our food and read a book. Eventually we have sports. This term we are playing football, next rugby and after that cricket. When we have changed back into school clothes, we have two more lessons before tea. We have prep after tea which is basically homework for an hour and we muck about a bit. After that we have another break before bed at 8:30.
From Harry.
Aged 10.
